Team | Rank (LW) | Record | Trending | Comments
| Rangers | 1 (1) | 7-3-1 | - | It wasn't the best showing, but the Rangers will take it. After losing all week, Texas finally woke up and was bale to take back the lead over the weekend and hold on. If Hamilton ever wakes up this time might become unstoppable. |
Giants | 2 (3) | 7-3-1 | It was a pretty easy week for San Fran as they got to face off against the weak Mariners. Thanks to solid performances from Desmond and Beltan, they were able to keep pace with Texas and now share the leagues best record. They'll look to keep it going against the fading Royals.
Cubs | 3 (2) | 7-4 | In what might have been a playoff preview, the Cubs fell short in a 6-8-0 decision to the surprising Astros. Amazingly, Chicago has lost 3 of their last 4 matchups, but still are tied for the second best record in the league. They'll look to bounce back against Boston.

Tampa was able to easily dispatch of the Phillies this week as they picked up their first win since week 7. Joyce and Longo went off this week as both got over 20 TB and paced the offense. They have an interesting matchup this week against the same record Rockies.

Indians5 (5)7-4

The streak is still alive as the league's hottest team extended their streak to 6 games. They had a solid all around performance and have now taken over the AL East top spot. They should be able to pad their lead as they face off against Cincy.

Astros6 (7)6-4-1The Astros surprising success story continued as they took care of business against one of the top teams in the league. The offense was the story this week as they batted an impressive .324 with 99 TB. They have an excellent shot at the playoffs this year.

Rockies7 (8)6-4-1The Tigers may suck, but the numbers put up by the Rockies would have given them a win no matter who they faced. They did well all around as they had 119 TB and 10 saves. CarGo and Chris Davis have to keep it up if they wanna beat the Rays.

Red Sox8 (6)5-5-1Boston's recent struggles continued as they've now lost 4 of 5 and 3 in a row. They started off hot, but played terrible against the NL East, only winning one game. They're gonna need to step it up as the AL is much stronger this year.
The struggles continued for Atlanta as they dropped their second in a row and have now lost 5 of 6. Lucky for them, they're still in a three way tie for second in their division and are only 0.5 games out of the lead. Beating Texas this week would go a long way in helping them turn around.

Marlins10 (12)5-5-1Miami barely came away with the victory, but it wasn't their fault as they put up great numbers. Since Stanton's return he's provided a huge boost and it continued this week as he led the offense. It was a team effort on the pitching side as no one had more than 1 QS but they put up an ERA under 3.

Royals11 (10)4-5-2It just keeps getting worse for KC. The great feeling of their hot start is a distant memory. They are only 2 games out of the division lead, but with the way Cleveland is playing they need to pick it up fast.

Phillies12 (11)5-6The Phillies put up decent numbers, but you wouldn't know it by looking at the score. The offense is gonna need more than three guys to show up (Trout, Bautista, Howard) if they want to compete with the top teams in the league. If Philly can make some moves they could be dangerous.

Nationals13 (13)5-6

Impressive showing this week as Washington took care of the fading Red Sox. They were especially solid on the pitching side with 8 W, 7 QS, and a sub 3 ERA. It's been a disappointing year so far considering how well they did last year, but lucky for them their division is pretty poor sofar with nobody over .500.

Mariners14 (14)2-7-2

Their record still sucks but at least now they have two wins and are showing some improvement each week. Other than HR, RBI and WHIP they performed pretty poorly this week. Brown came back down to reality and was a real drain on their average and OPS. They'll just to get third 3rd win against the surprising Marlins.

Reds15 (15)2-7-2

Talk about a tough loss. After leading all week, they couldn't finish off what would have been a huge upset and ended up dropping their second in a row. It would take one hell of a turnaround to make the playoffs but it's still early the team has a very solid core.

Tigers16 (16)2-8-1

Personally I think Detroit has been the biggest disappointment of the year. Last year they took the wild card and lost in a close matchup against the number one seed. The team has been done in by shitty owners, but it's still talented and with the right owner they could return to being an AL power.
