Indians agree in principle to a proposed trade by the Mariners.

Indians receive:
Clayton Kershaw SP $500K (4/4)
Nick Markakis OF $10.25M (2/2) *** 4M absorbed by Seattle for 2012

Mariners receive:
Adam Wainwright SP $6.5M (2/2)
Andrew McCutchen OF $.4525M (4/4)

The Indians love to add Clayton Kershaw to our rotation, especially at his more than attractive salary. We needed the extra dollars picked up for this year to allow this move. Obviously we lose another low salary in Andrew but we feel we need to bolster our rotation for the future.

The Mariners accept this deal. Obviously pitching was our strong suit and I really dont think were falling off too much here. We get a great bat in McCutchen and still a good pitcher in Wainright even though he struggled early on this year.
