Team | Rank (LW) | Record | Trending | Comments
Giants | 1 (3) | 6-1 | The hottest team in the league continued to roll as they won their sixth matchup in a row. This week's tough matchup against the Braves has an added twist as it's the first father-son matchup of the season.
Indians | 2 (4) | 6-1 | The Indians were able to bounce back from their poor offensive performance last week to bat .327 with 97 TB as Kipnis and Encarnacion led the team to victory.
| Rangers | 3 (5) | 5-1-1 | The offense bounced back in a big way slugging 13 HR with 45 RBI on their way to a big win over a likely playoff team. They'll look to continue their hot hitting against the Rays this week. | |
Cubs | 4 (6) | 5-2 | After a tough loss to the Giants the Cubs were able to rebound and take down the last undefeated team remaining. Their pitching was pretty terrible, but a strong offensive showing by Tulo was able to lead the team to a win.
Braves | 5 (1) | 5-1-1 | The only undefeated team remaining in the league finally got their first loss of the year. It was a rare off week for the Braves as other than stealing 10 bases they struggled in every category. They'll look to bounce back against the red hot Giants.
| Tigers | 6 (2) | 4-2-1 | A tie always sucks, but at least they didn't lose. The offense was solid, but their starting pitching didn't help out at all as they struggled to get QS and Ks. | |
Rays8 (8)2-4-1-For the second straight week, the Rays played pretty well. Unfortunately for them, this week they got stuck with a tie. A tie against a top team in the league though should still be considered a good week. They'll need to continue to play well as they face the top offense in the league this week.

Nationals9 (9)3-4-The losing streak was extended to three matchups in a row as the Nationals were taken down by the Giants. This loss was especially tough as they came within a few runs in the night game from ending the streak. They'll look to rebound against the Reds.

Reds10 (11)2-5Well that came out of nowhere. A team who had struggled all year to put up offensive numbers exploded this week with 13 HR and 114 TB. They'll looked to improve to 2-0 under new management as they face the struggling Nationals.

Phillies11 (10)2-4-1The Phillies played pretty well, but were saddled with the loss in a tough 6-7-1 loss to the Reds. Sunday was especially tough as potentially devastating news broke that Halladay is dealing with a shoulder injury.

Rockies12 (14)3-4The Rockies have quietly been playing well recently as they are now on a two game winning streak. Even though the wins have come against two of the weaker teams of the league, the Rockies' offensive and pitching numbers have been solid.

Astros13 (12)2-5Tough loss for the Astros as they nearly upset the 6-1 Indians, but came up short. Dickey continued his impressive season by dominating in two starts and leading the pitching to a pretty good week, but the offense let them down.

Royals14 (15)2-5For the third week in a row the Royals looked very good especially on offense. Ethier, Yadier, and Butler continued their great seasons as Lohse and Masterson led the pitching to an impressive 1.817 ERA.

Mariners15 (13)1-5-1The Mariners still haven't won since the first week, but the front office had a busy week pulling off two blockbuster deals. They were able to acquire three all-stars and an exciting up and coming player. There's still plenty of time left for the acquisitions to lead this team to the playoffs.

Marlins16 (16)1-6-The Marlins take the last spot in the power rankings for the second week in a row as they lost again. On the bright side, Hanley and Stanton have turned things around after slow starts and Kuroda finally had a good week. Unfortunately, things don't get any easier for them as they now have to face the 5-2 Cubs.
