This idea is by Cubs GM (Matt)
The rule change involves compensation for unsigned draft picks. If the player you draft (in the first two rounds only) fails to sign you will be given two choices:
A.) Retain this player on your farm system and keep him protected in future drafts. B.) Release this player and receive a supplemental pick that is 1 pick less then the pick you used.
Choice A or B would have to be decided by a set deadline. Feel free to state your opinion below this.

Just to state my opinion:
I just don't think it's fair for the team with the worst record to not even have a chance at the top player in the draft because he's already been on someone's roster for 3 years..ya know?

I also dont feel that is fair to the team with the worst record to lose a player because he doesnt sign. This at least gives the team a choice of wether to take a comp pick or waste a spot on their farm system on a player that may not see the majors for 5 years....

It isn't realistic though. Which, to me, is the whole point of being in a league like this with contracts, minor league systems, and FYPD drafts.

we already argued on the Chatbox.....not gonna make everyone read it again. People can vote however they want. We do this in another league and it works well, thought it was a good idea here as well...

This amendment didn't get enough votes so it will not be added to the rules
